Dexter has a problem. He wants to have friends, but some of the boys in his neighborhood are bullies and want to make him say rude things and be rough like them. Dexter’s mom sees that he is unhappy. When he speaks rudely with her, she sends him to his room. He dozes off and is awakened by a tiny boy with wings named Pip. Pip brings a strange creature to take Dexter to a place where he might be happy.

Unfortunately, the place to which the Hippogriff takes him to is Rude City – not a nice place at all. Dexter quickly finds that he is not happy there and wants to go back home. Will Dexter escape Rude City without getting beaten up? Will he learn to be polite and enjoy life?
